The ESPN expert admitted that James is not the first star to ask him a thrashing. Stephen Hey Smith said that at the beginning of his career, Michael Jordan also made a claim to him.
I regularly sat on the front row, at the very site. Then I have been a reporter for many years. For more than ten years I visited 120 matches per year. And then he walked along with the players in clubs or talked with them on the street.
I had access, I had all the information, and I could tell about everything. But all that I was talking about is basketball. Only basketball. And when people begin to get nervous and angry because of this, I think: well, I remember how Jordan once got angry with me. Yes, Jordan really got angry at me once.
And then I looked at Michael Jordan and said: you know what? To hell with everything, drive $ 250, 000. He says: what are you talking about? I replied: you want me to be your PR man. You don`t want me to be a journalist. You do not want me to be a person who illuminates the league. You want me to say what you want me to say.
Can I do my job? My work is to talk about the game. I`m talking about the game. Guys, you still need to understand the difference. Yes, when someone crosses the line, you must call him to answer. This is right.
But if we are talking only about the game, you may need to deal with the game from live matches and what was said, but not to say: no, I don`t like this bastard? - said Stephen Hey Smith.
